Christian Labrot becomes selection commissioner of the Logistics Hall of Fame
Christian Labrot, former General Manager of the BWVL and former IRU President, has accepted the role of selection commissioner at the Logistics Hall of Fame.
The selection commissioner is always independent and monitors proper electoral process. To enter the Logistics Hall of Fame and be awarded the title TRATON Logistics Leader of the Year, the proposed candidates go through two stages: First, the Council nominates the finalists from all proposals, and then the jury votes online. The jury consists of around 70 people - journalists, scientists, personalities from the logistics industry, politics and associations from all over the world.
Christian Labrot was born in 1953 and took over the management of the Bundesverband Wirtschaft, Verkehr und Logistik e.V. (BWVL) in 1990 and became General Manager in 1995. He retired at the end of 2019. On January 1, 2016, Labrot became President of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and held this function for four years; he is currently as Past President a member of the Presidium of the world federation.
