Logistics Hall of Fame Council nominates Finalists
- Andreas Scheuer, German Federal Minister of Transport and digital Infrastructure, invites the Logistics Hall of Fame Council to his ministry.
- Seven Finalists nominated. Jury to decide in summer.
Ismaning near Munich, June 21, 2018. The finalists for the World´s Logistics Hall of Fame selection have now been selected. Last Wednesday, Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer invited the Logistics Hall of Fame Council to the ministry, where in a first ballot the committee nominated a total of seven personalities. Prior to this, 25 valid entries from Australia, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Great Britain, Serbia, Switzerland and the USA reached the hall.
The candidate list is confidential. This summer, it will be submitted to more than 50 international jurors from all areas of logistics for the final decision. In October, the organization will announce who prevailed and shall be inducted into the logistics pantheon. The newly elected member will be officially admitted during the annual Logistics Hall of Fame gala reception in December, at the German Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin.
The aim of the Logistics Hall of Fame is to document key milestones in logistics and honour the people behind them, thus underlining the performance capability of logistics and boosting its overall image. The initiative is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Transport as well as the relevant sector associations, media and companies, including the Port of Duisburg (duisport), Austrian logistics service provider Gebrüder Weiss, intralogistics provider Still and many others.

The Logistics Hall of Fame was founded in 2003 and honours leading figures who have made outstanding efforts to promote the further development of logistics and supply chain management. This eternal pantheon is also designed to remind future generations of the achievements of these individuals in the service of logistics. The aim of the Logistics Hall of Fame is to act as a worldwide platform to publicise the performance capability of logistics and its importance for society. The Logistics Hall of Fame is a non-profit initiative supported by the world of politics, associations, the logistics industry and logistics science.
