Logistics Hall of Fame Council meets at the German Federal Ministry of Transport

  • Who will be inducted into the Logistics Hall of Fame and who will be ”Logistics Leader of the Year 2019”?
  • Logistics Hall of Fame Council nominates nine men and women. Jury decides in July.

Ismaning / Berlin, July 1, 2019.  The finalists for induction into the international Logistics Hall of Fame have been selected. Last Friday, the Logistics Hall of Fame Council nominated five renowned personalities at the Federal Ministry of Transport. In addition, four finalists were nominated for the “Logistics Leader of the Year” for the first time. In the run-up, 30 valid proposals from Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Great Britain, Poland and the USA had been submitted. The lists of candidates for both awards are secret.

In just a few weeks, the jury will decide who will be the new member of the Logistics Hall of Fame and who will bear the title "Logistics Leader of the Year" for the first time. The jury will comprise around 70 internationally renowned industry experts from business, media and politics.

The Logistics Hall of Fame documents the major milestones in the logistics industry. The decisive factor for admission is that a performance has significantly and sustainably advanced logistics beyond the boundaries of the company itself. So far, 34 men and women have been inducted into the World Hall of Fame.

With the “Logistics Leader of the Year”, the organization aims to identify the key pacemakers and future trendsetters in logistics as of 2019. It honours entrepreneurs and managers who have made a particularly successful contribution to their companies or initiated a trend-setting impulse. The focus is on actuality and the benefit for the own company.

Both awards will be presented at the annual gala reception in early December in the Erich Klausener Hall of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), Berlin.
