Logistics Hall of Fame: Council meets at Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport
Who will be inducted as a new member into the Logistics Hall of Fame in 2024 and who will be Logistics Leader of the Year? Logistics Hall of Fame Council nominates four candidates each in Berlin. The final decision will be made by the jury. The annual gala reception and award ceremony takes place at the beginning of December at the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin.
Ismaning near Munich/Berlin, June 25, 2024 - This year's finalists for induction into the international Logistics Hall of Fame have been announced. The Logistics Hall of Fame Council nominated four personalities for induction as new members at the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) on Monday. Also, four candidates reached the final for the Logistics Leader of the Year award. The award organization had received 23 valid proposals from eight nations in advance. The lists of candidates for both awards are traditionally kept secret and are not published.

V., Robert Cameron, Head of Production, Logistics & Aftermarket Department at the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) e. V., Berlin, Dr. Florian Eck, Managing Director of Deutsches Verkehrsforum (DVF) e. V., Berlin, Thilo Jörgl, Managing Partner of impact media projects GmbH, Ismaning, Prof. Dr.-Ing. The next phase of the election process for the Logistics Hall of Fame now begins: the jury, which is made up of around 70 internationally renowned industry experts from business, media and politics, will decide in the coming weeks who will be inducted as a new member of the Hall of Fame and who will hold the title of "Logistics Leader of the Year".
The Logistics Hall of Fame documents the major milestones in logistics. The decisive factor for induction is that an achievement has significantly and sustainably advanced logistics beyond the boundaries of their own company. Up to now, 41 men and women have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The "Logistics Leader of the Year" honors those who lead the way and shape the future of the logistics industry. The focus is on relevance and benefits for their own company as well as innovative strength, sustainability and entrepreneurial change. The prize is awarded by the Logistics Hall of Fame and donated by STILL GmbH. In addition to its role as a guardian, the Logistics Hall of Fame recognizes future-oriented achievements with the donor´s award to initiate and promote innovation. Previous award recipients are Angela Titzrath, CEO of the Port of Hamburg, Neil Humphrey, President of Havi Supply Chain, Olaf Schabirosky, CEO of Hermes Germany, Prof. Dr. Michael Feindt, founder of Blue Yonder, Axel Frey, CEO, and Harry Seifert, Chairman of the Advisory Board and previously Managing Partner of the Seifert Logistics Group.
Both awards are presented at the annual gala reception, which takes place in December at the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin.
