Federal Minister Scheuer to take patronage of the Logistics Hall of Fame

  • Andreas Scheuer becomes patron and juror of the Logistics Hall of Fame.

Ismaning near Munich, April 3, 2018    Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, has assumed patronage of the Logistics Hall of Fame. In addition, as a member of the jury, he will future determine who will be inducted to the world´s pantheon of logistics.

According to the Hall of Fame for Logistics, Scheuer emphasized in his reply: "I am delighted to accept my new role as patron of the Logistics Hall of Fame and as juror. The Logistics Hall of Fame impressively documents what advanced logistics can achieve for business and society. Its international appeal makes a major contribution to Germany's reputation as a logistics location in the world." 

Scheuer was already a member of the jury from 2009 to 2013. At that time, he was Parliamentary State Secretary at the then Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs.

Proposals and applications are free of charge and can be submitted in English or in German language and solely online at www.logisticshalloffame.net. The public proposal phase ends on May 14, 2018. The newly elected member will be inducted at the annual Logistics Hall of Fame reception at the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin, Germany.

The Hall of Fame can be accessed free of charge at any time at www.logisticshalloffame.net and features information on logistics milestones and the people behind them.

Background: The Logistics Hall of Fame was founded in 2003 and honours leading figures who have made outstanding efforts to promote the further development of logistics and supply chain management. This eternal pantheon is also designed to remind future generations of the achievements of these individuals in the service of logistics. The aim of the Logistics Hall of Fame is to act as a worldwide platform to publicise the performance capability of logistics and its importance for society. The Logistics Hall of Fame is a non-profit initiative supported by the world of politics, associations, the logistics industry and logistics science. The patron is Andreas Scheuer, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Germany.
