VDA President Mattes becomes a juror
Bernhard Mattes, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Berlin, has accepted the invitation to the jury of the Logistics Hall of Fame.
"I am pleased to be part of this top-class jury," said Mattes. "Safe and efficient transport and logistics solutions are the backbone of the economy and extremely important for people's everyday lives. The Logistics Hall of Fame puts the best ideas and personalities in the industry in the spotlight, giving them the recognition they deserve".
Bernhard Mattes, born in Wolfsburg in 1956, studied economics at the University of Hohenheim. From 1982 to 1999 he held various positions in sales at BMW AG. Mattes then moved to the Executive Board of Ford-Werke AG. From 2002 to 2016 he was CEO of Ford Werke GmbH and since 2006 Vice President of the European Ford Customer Service Division. Since 1 January 2017 he is a member of the Supervisory Board of Ford-Werke GmbH and of the Presidential Council of DEKRA e.V. Since 1 March 2018 Mattes is President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry.
