U.S. journalist Dave Blanchard appointed jury member
Famous U.S. logistics journalist Dave Blanchard has been appointed to the jury of the Logistics Hall of Fame. He is the first U.S. member of the body.
Dave is Editor-in-Chief of the U.S. magazine Material Handling & Logistics based in Cleveland, Ohio. He also provides the IndustryWeek audience his expertise in supply chain management and technology, reporting on topics ranging from logistics, procurement and inventory management to warehousing and distribution to lean supply chains.
With over 25 years of experience, Dave literally wrote the book on supply chain management, Supply Chain Management Best Practices (John Wiley & Sons, 2010), and is a frequent speaker at industry events. Throughout his lengthy career at Penton, he has been the chief editor of several Penton brands, including Supply Chain Technology News, Logistics Today, Business Finance, and IndustryWeek. Dave is an award-winning journalist and has been twice named one of the nation’s top columnists by the American Society of Business Publications Editors.
Dave received his B.A. in English from Northern Illinois University, and was a high school teacher prior to his joining the publishing industry. He is married and has two daughters.
