Peter Abelmann becomes new Election Commissioner of the Logistics Hall of Fame

The managing director of LOG-IT Cub and manager of the competence network Logistik.NRW has accepted the role of election commissioner for the Logistics Hall of Fame.

The selection commissioner is always independent and monitors proper electoral process. To enter the Logistics Hall of Fame and be awarded the title Logistics Leader of the Year, the proposed candidates go through two stages: First, the Council nominates the finalists from all proposals, and then the jury votes online. The jury consists of around 70 people - journalists, scientists, personalities from the logistics industry, politics and associations from all over the world.

Peter Abelmann has been Managing Director of the LOG-IT Club since the "birth" of the Logistik.NRW network and the association. Since May 2021, he has taken on this position full-time. Abelmann studied geography at the Ruhr University in Bochum and worked for many years as head of logistics at the strategic management consultancy SCI Verkehr.

The LOG-IT Club e.V. is the supporting association of the Kompetenznetz Logistik.NRW. The aim is to develop and actively shape North Rhine-Westphalia as a key logistics location in Europe through innovation and networking activities.
