Jürgen Maidl accepts invitation to the jury
Jürgen Maidl joins the jury of the Logistics Hall of Fame. The manager has been responsible for the BMW Group's production network and supply chain management since 2011.
In this function, he also focuses on digitization and industry 4.0, where various projects on big data, data analysis, logistics automation, logistics robotics were implemented and rolled out into the BMW Group logistics network.
Maidl held various positions at debis Systemhaus, Stuttgart, from 1989 to 1997, most recently as Head of the Market Development Unit. In 1998 he joined BMW as Senior Vice President Group IT Strategy, Planning and Control. In 2001, he was appointed Senior Vice President BMW Group Information Technology with responsibility for IT Strategy, Planning and Control, Shared Services and SAP, and IT Infrastructure worldwide, including the operation of all data centers.
During his career, he specialized in supply chain management and SAP. In addition to his work for the BMW Group, Jürgen Maidl represents the interests of automotive logistics in various associations, including the German Logistics Association (BVL) and the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). He is an honorary member of the board of trustees of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics. As an external expert, Jürgen Maidl is a member of the BLG LOGISTICS Advisory Board.
